About this platform
An independent effort to document, monitor, and report human rights violations in Ethiopia.
Our mission
We provide a secure, accessible channel for the public to document human rights abuses, and a structured process for trained monitors to verify and publish them.
Verification methodology
Every submission is reviewed by a monitor before it appears publicly. Reports move through clear stages:
- Pending newly submitted, awaiting review.
- Under review a monitor is assessing and cross-checking the account.
- Verified corroborated and published to the public record.
- Rejected could not be substantiated or fell outside scope.
Each verified incident is assigned a severity rating (low, medium, high, critical) reflecting its gravity and scale.
Reporter safety & privacy
- Reports can be submitted anonymously no account is required.
- Contact details, when provided, are visible only to monitors and are never published.
- Connections are protected by standard web security (HTTPS in production), and the platform applies rate limiting and other safeguards against abuse.
- If reporting could put you at risk, prioritize your safety: use a trusted device and network, and share only what is necessary.
